HUMSS may seem to be the best strand among the academic strands. HUMSS strand revolves around improving our skills. Probably the first day of the class, students who enrolled in HUMSS strand was thinking that this strand is really difficult. But if you haven’t noticed yet, students who choose this strand are aspiring to serve our society who will be dealing with a lot of people. Other students may judge or strand let’s look our at the brighter side. Like any other strand, this strand will not be as difficult as it seems if you have passion for this field and for the people around you.

Let me share with you why I can say HUMMS strand is the best. It is because HUMSS have everything we want to learn. We write and read a lot. By writing a bunch of essays, we improve our grammars and by reading we also develop our reading skills. We do research. Since we write a lot and read, these two implies that we are required to do research for the preparation in the near future. Also, HUMSS strand can help us to see capabilities and understand the people around us. We may be exhausted of everything we will encounter in this strand but we should try to think that it’s for our own sake. A lot of tasks to be accomplished. Essay here, research there but sure enough you will learn a lot!

Well, for me, I can truly say that one of the advantages of taking this strand is that , this strand can build and boost our self-confidence/self-esteem. Why? It is because we HUMSS students will be more motivated to see and show their capabilities. Since this strand is more focus on writing, reading and especially speaking.We will be more confident to face with many people, through this strand, we can improve our speaking skills . Knowing that this strand have a great impact into us is really inspiring. This strand help me to be more confident and made me realized that I’m not weak. This strand taught me to see my own capabilities and not to be afraid of what challenges may come ahead of me. Made me believe that I can surpass everything what I’ve been struggling in life.

So, if you’re thinking what’s the best strand. Your likes, skills and personality may suit this strand so “HUMSS ang kuhaa!” I’m sure enough you have a lot to learn. Think about it carefully!

Hello everyone! I’m Gale Monique Vale. I am 17 yrs.old and I live in Sambog, Corella, Bohol. I was born on November 18, 2001 in San Pedro, Laguna. My mother is Gina S. Vale and my father is Raymond L. Vale. My mother is a teacher while my father is a seafarer, I have four siblings, three brothers & only one sister is the youngest. I’m just a simple girl who have big dreams in life. I’m not really good at singing and dancing but I can easily memorize lyrics of a song & dance steps. I love listening music and I do really love to eat street foods. My favorite food is “Adobong Talong” and my favorite color is blue.


Sometimes , when I’m bored I used to draw and honestly, I have already kept my finished artworks. Also, I do really love calligraphy that’s why sometimes If someone tells me to do hand lettering I’ll definitely be happy because for me, it’s a skill of mine that may be appreciated by others.

Well, each one of us have different dreams and aspirations in life. When I was young I’ve always wanted to travel, discover and explore the world that’s the time that I asked myself, ” What if I take Tourism?” Because I also wanted to become a flight attendant but now I realized that whatever strand you take it doesn’t matter anyway, you still have time to dream.

Chase your dreams and don’t give up on it. Now that I have started this, I should finish this. It may not be my choice but it doesn’t mean I can’t achieve my dreams in life. After senior high, I will continue to chase my dreams and pursue my dreams in college. And if there may be more opportunities that will come unto me, I will surely grab it. Through this, I can help my parents. I can give them in return what they have given me since from the start. Of course, in achieving your dreams you should believe in yourself, strive hard and make it into reality.
